Cheers to a new resume!

Posted by: x10 In: Life

Much love to David Seah and his simple resume layout (all done in PowerPoint!!)

I decided to use his template as an exercise in simplifying my current resume into a high-level overview.  It forced me to be concise.

I like this format because it puts my skills and expertise into a separate area which helps to aggregate the “big picture” of who I am and what I have to offer.

Check out my new resume and let me know what you think.

Christen, does this mean your available? :-)

I quite like the design, concise and lots of nice white space.

One grammar glitch “a company loves”.

Besides the visual aspect (which looks very nice, btw), I’m curious as to how effective this summarized version is. I would think that having more info might be helpful, but perhaps not. I’ve just recently been pushed to a third page to my resume, and I’m eager to find ways of shortening it. This format looks like it definitely has potential. :)

Yeah, good question. I kind of feel like I’ve left off a lot of relevant information. Maybe two pages is where it’s at.
