I feel it adds more value when I interact with people I actually have communicated with, either online or off. I have a list of local bloggers I like to keep track of and comment on. It provides great avenues for connection when you go to networking events etc. In terms of the other non-local blogs I have a list that I read through, and I only comment if I have something awesome to add to their post.
