Christen Dybenko is a web strategist and software architect in San Francisco, California. She is a member of Synonym, a team of web strategists who are helping people get their message out in a digital world.
For the past five years, Christen has been working with and soaking up web 2.0. More recently, she spent three years as Director of Interactive Strategies at Gateseven Media Group, a full service agency in London, Ontario. Here she worked with high profile clients like the Toronto Maple Leafs as well as many not-for-profit organizations and churches. Christen’s greatest accomplishment at Gateseven was creating a Content Management System (CMS) that would be used by many clients of Gateseven Media Group. The CMS was extremely flexible as it utilized tagging to organize and “mashup” the content in the CMS. It made updating content easy and seamless.
Christen uses her personal blog as a journal as she navigates the web and learns new things. She likes to mix strategy and marketing with technology. You can also find Christen at the Society for Word of Mouth and in most other social networking platforms. She has always been very artistic and expresses that through photography. She and her husband, Jesse, take pictures at Sugar Sugar Photography for fun (and some pocket change). They also blog about their adventures moving to San Francisco at dybenko.net.
Christen attended Fanshawe College in London, Ontario where she got her diploma in Computer Programming. She is nearly finished her B.A. in Psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario which she is completing via correspondence as she works in San Francisco.
